How do I descale my NEO coffee machine?
From time to time, your machine needs a little help to protect its interior, which is key to your consistently delicious in-cup quality! Take a look at how you can do this simple yet essential process below:
- Mix 0.5L of tap water with the NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® descaling solution, which you can purchase via our website, and pour the solution into the empty water tank.
- Insert the water tank into the machine. If required, remove the drip tray. Place a 0.7L container underneath the coffee and milk outlets.
- To enter descaling mode, close the slider & sachet door and press the start button for 15 seconds until it rapidly flashes orange twice (release the button). The button then softly dims orange, and the descaling begins. When the button turns blue, wait for two minutes.
- After the two minutes, start the rinsing process. Refill the water tank with tap water and insert it into the machine.
- Place the empty container under the coffee and milk outlets. If required, remove the drip tray.
- Press the start button once to continue with the rinsing process.
- Empty the container and the water tank once the rinsing has finished.
- Follow the instructions in this how-to video to easily clean and descale the jet nozzle.
- Refill and reinsert the water tank, also don't forget to reinsert the drip tray if you have removed it. The machine is now ready to use!
TIP
- Connect your machine with your phone to get an automatic notification when it’s time to descale.
TOP DESCALING TIPS
- Don’t use vinegar. Only use the NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® descaling solution.
- Avoid contact of the descaling liquid with the machine.
- Don’t unplug the machine during the descaling process.
